The Case plot

Fair elections, that is what the protesters will take to the streets of Moscow in July 2019. Despite the peaceful nature of their actions, 2,700 activists are detained and hundreds injured. The moving camera places the viewer at the heart of the demonstrations, between the pushing and pulling and the chanting crowd. "You should protect us!" a young woman calls out to a soldier, after which she is taken away by two large men. This is the theater in which lawyer Maria Eismont operates. After every demonstration, she knocks on the door of the police station to provide legal aid to the detainees. One of them is Konstantin Kotov.
