The Belgrade Phantom plot
While the Yugoslav dictator Tito spends his time in Cuba on international affairs, the capital Belgrade keeps busy with a mysterious wrong-way driver. In 1979 this unknown driver performs the most spectacular maneuvers with his white Porsche '911 Targa'. The man quickly becomes popular, because he is one of the few who dares to make a long nose against the reign of Tito. In his 911 Targa, the wrong-way driver radios the police to try and catch him. The police at first don't believe anyone can be so brash as to challenge them. And when they finally realize that this is exactly what the wrong-way driver is doing, it's already too late. More than 10,000 people take to the streets to support their hero and it's getting harder and harder to catch the wrong-way driver in public. This makes the popular driver a major political threat and the man should be eliminated.
