The Backward Class plot

The Dalits or the Untouchables are a group of people in India, at the bottom of the social ladder. The students of the Shanti Bhavan school in Bangalore, oppressed by being born as outcaste Dalit, are determined to be the first to take the national Indian exams. The pressure is enormous and some students are convinced that bad luck will always follow them.
