The Angry Eye plot

American teacher Jane Elliott devotes her life to fighting racism. She has developed a remarkable method for this, which she has been putting into practice for many years now in all corners of the world. In this film she works with young American students. The exercise consists of splitting the youngsters - who do not know what to expect and what the intention is - into two groups, based on the color of their eyes. The blue-eyed students are then systematically intimidated and insulted by the others. In this way they experience first-hand what it means to be discriminated against on the basis of external characteristics. It is a hard session, where a girl walks away angry and where many tears flow. But it also creates an insight that goes deeper than the participants could ever have imagined.
