Tata plot

A journalist is estranged from her abusive father. She discovers he has been a victim of exploitation at work. When she agrees to help him expose the injustice, the wounds from their past are reopened.

Moldovan journalist Lina Vdovîi takes her cameraman and husband, Radu Ciornicius, to Italy when her father seeks her help because of his boss's exploitation and abuse. Lina hasn't seen her father in years and uses the encounter to take a closer look at her relationship with him. This self-examination has consequences when she returns home and talks with her mother, grandmother, and several other women. A remarkably candid, authentic documentary about a generation gap and a family culture that we now label "toxic," but which is still not always considered excessive.
