Storm of Emotions plot
What is it like to have to evict your compatriots as an Israeli? Jewish police officers and soldiers faced this dilemma during the evacuation of the Gaza Strip in August 2005. "Storm of Emotions" paints a picture of a 'mission impossible' for Israeli law enforcement officers. The documentary follows a number of protagonists, from Commander-in-Chief Uri Bar-Lev to the very young sergeant Notar Cohen, as they prepare for and carry out one of Israel's most complex 'military' missions ever: the evacuation of the colonies in the Gaza Strip. During the evacuation, the executors of the democratically adopted decision are met with anger, hatred and bitterness, but also with resignation, understanding and compassion.
