Stalags plot
In the early 1960s, when the world was horrified by the testimonies in the Eichmann trial in Jerusalem, heterosexual pornography books appeared in Israel, in which the stories were set in Nazi prison camps: it revolved in these booklets, which were called Stalags. , about American and British prisoners who were beaten and sexually tortured by blond, half-naked SS women. At the end, the inmates took revenge on their horny blond executioners with assault and rape. Ari Libsker, grandson of Shoa survivors, explores this phenomenon by interviewing the writers of the Stalags, as well as Israeli survivors and critics who explore the extent to which these (hetero)sexual pulp narratives tell something about trauma, the collective memory and the role that (forbidden) ) play sexual fantasies in this.
