Sta Me Bij plot
Suzanne Raes and Monique Lesterhuis follow the employees of the social services of the Dutch provincial town of Zutphen and their nearly a thousand 'customers'. With great compassion, but without bias, they paint a balanced picture of the different work styles that the consultants adopt, and expose the equally diverse social and psychological causes of unemployment. Do Thomas, Sjoerd, the highly educated Mr. Dilshad and the lethargic couple Danny and Veronica understand their situation, or is it absurd that they are not working? And would it help if the social assistance counselors did not help them? It is up to the viewer to determine that.
