Speaking in Strings plot

This documentary shows and describes the passion and energy of the famous Italian violinist Nadja Salerno-Sonnenberg. At the age of eight, she moved to the United States to study at The Curtis Institute of Music. She later studied with Dorothy DeLay at The Julliard School. The film focuses on her professional life, beginning in 1981, when she broke into the classical music world as the youngest-ever winner of the Walter W. Naumburg International Violin Competition.
