Southwest of Salem: The Story of the San Antonio Four plot

After a false accusation of the gang rape of two young girls, Elizabeth Ramirez and her lesbian friends Cassandra, Kristie and Anna were wrongfully imprisoned in a San Antonio, Texas prison. This documentary shows the dubious circumstances that contributed to this verdict: shoddy science, homophobia and a bizarre fear of Satanism and witchcraft. Twelve years later, things are moving again: one of the allegedly raped girls confesses that she can't remember anything about it. A doctor, who provided physical evidence of penetration in the original trial, meanwhile admits that science couldn't prove such a thing back then...
