Sous les Ailes de l'Hippocampe plot

Flown all over the world without ever seeing anything: a pilot on a scheduled service lives in a cocoon. He sees the beauty of the earth and the ugly interventions of man, but from 12,000 meters altitude. During layovers, he stays in hotels, protected from culture shock and the vicissitudes of the climate. With François Suchel, the desire arises to taste the smells, tastes and languages below, on the ground. He wants to see and feel what he is missing when he flies from Paris to Guangzhou. He therefore decides to make the return journey by bicycle, equipped with a camera, navigation and mobile phone.
