Soldado plot

Drums are beaten violently in a fixed rhythm during a march. Soldiers and officers gather in a courtyard near the barracks. The Argentine flag is hoisted slowly. This is accompanied by the blaring of trumpets. With clinical precision, Manuel Abramovich portrays a young recruit in his path during his military training. His transformation from a youthful person to a young adult is marked by doubt and conflict. The film reveals the tension between the tightly defined system of the military academy and the young man's vulnerability.
