In 2000, the Year of the Dragon, ambitious young filmmaker Hronn Sveinsdottir follows the Miss Iceland beauty pageant to capture the utter absurdity of the spectacle. But unexpectedly, Sveinsdottir becomes obsessed with the election and struggles with her own self-image.
