Silent Wilderness plot
Tim was born in 1975 in Seoul, South Korea, and adopted as a baby by a Belgian family with two daughters. Despite adjustment problems, which were lovingly taken care of, the boy seems to be developing well. But one day, as a 26-year-old psychology student, Tim packs his backpack and goes on a journey, without a passport. He disappears without a trace, leaving his parents in despair and uncertainty. That was thirteen years ago now. The parents still do not know anything about the fate of their son. Was it murder, suicide, or is he still alive? Images of daily activities in the parental home, where Tim's absence can still be felt every moment, are interspersed with animations from fragments from Tim's diary, conversations with those involved in the police investigation at the time and a trip to the place in Hungary where the lost son was last seen.
