Shi Wai Tao Yuan plot

A unique restaurant is located in one of the skyscrapers of the Chinese city of Chongqing. Dining at the large round table is taken in a spectacular show of dance and martial arts, inspired by ancient traditions and contemporary patriotism. The company's founder and authoritarian leader, a bored-looking chain smoker, enforces strict collectivism behind the scenes. Own opinions are out of the question, doing and thinking as the Leader prescribes is saving. The Land of Peach Blossoms follows the course of events for several months and shows in an observant style how far the mostly young staff members go in this brainwashing.
