Good, slick portrait of musician and songwriter who sang with Michael Jackson during his 'Bad Tour' in the late 1990s, but only had his worldwide breakthrough in 1995 with the hit single 'All I Wanna Do' and emerged as the “voice of a generation”, especially for people from the LGBTQIA+ community. Sheryl speaks candidly about topics such as sexual harassment, loneliness and her battle against cancer and receives support from, among others, Laura Dern (a good friend) and veterans from the music world such as Keith Richards and Willie Nelson. Crow comes across as a down-to-earth, sincere veteran in this uncritical documentary made for fans. A little more spice would have been welcome, even though the music is still very listenable.
