She's The Best Thing In It plot
"She's not famous. She's just great."
Broadway veteran and Tony winner Mary Louise Wilson gives her first acting class to a group of young actors, shying away from wiping their dreams off the red carpet and challenging them to show emotional sincerity in their acting. The class is taught in New Orleans, where Wilson grew up in the 1940s. We see her look back on her life with a competitive sister, a painful childhood, a short-lived marriage, alcoholism and her rediscovery, at 60, as a playwright and actress in 'Grey Gardens', her one-woman show about fashion icon Diana Vreeland.
