Shadow Boxers plot

Shadow boxing is boxing with an imaginary opponent. It is also a good name for women's boxing, which has always been in the shadow of men's boxing. The breakthrough came when the Golden Gloves boxing tournament allowed women for the first time. Director Tanya Bankowsky was one of the participants. She lost her match and filmed the rest of the fights from the front row. Her involvement in the sport led to very personal reactions, especially from her biggest star, the Amsterdam Lucia Rijker.
