S'Enfuir plot

The Belgian composer Albrecht Huybrechts, born in 1899, seems to have been lost in the mists of time. Huybrechts, who died young, he was 37, was fascinated by Stravinsky and Bartók, among others. He wrote orchestral and especially chamber music. With the film, Joachim Thôme tries to draw attention to him again. The director started from a testimony of Huybrechts' brother to bring the tumultuous existence of the composer to life in a free form in which imagination and reality are fused.
