Riders of Destiny plot

'Riders of Destiny' follows several jockey kids from the remote Indonesian island of Sumbawa as they race against each other on horses for a season. This cultural heritage is mainly undertaken by poor families. The extra income generated is more than welcome, because sometimes they can't eat. A lot depends on each race, and each race could be the last for these kids in a sport where accidents are common and the consequences come with drastic risks. This documentary reflects on class, education, child welfare and the imbalance of wealth in the world.
