Retour à Gorée plot
This musical road movie follows the African singer Youssou N'Dour on his epic journey in the footsteps of the black slaves and their Jazz music. Accompanied by pianist Moncef Genoud, he travels through the US and Europe, creating music that transcends cultural diversity through debates, concerts and meetings with top musicians. The purpose of the journey is to bring the Jazz back to Gorée, the island that is a symbol of the slave trade.
