Resurrecting Hassan plot
Portrait of the blind Canadian Harting family. Denis, Peggy and their daughter Lauviah earn money singing in Montreal subway stations. Their lives have been marked by the loss of their sighted son Hassan, who drowned at the age of seven. Denis and Peggy bicker a lot; their relationship has clearly suffered from the tragic event. The two are followers of the Russian mystic Grigori Grabovoi, who proclaims that people can rise from the dead. As Denis dedicates herself to bringing Hassan back to life, he barely notices that Peggy is heading in a completely different direction, focusing on her own personal resurrection. Meanwhile, daughter Lauviah has to find her own way...
