Rangierer plot

The job of a shunter is to slow down, couple and uncouple train wagons at a central station. The film documents, without comment, the working hours of some shunters at the Dresden-Friedrichstadt marshalling yard, the largest such station in the entire former German Democratic Republic. They work day and night, amid snow and fog on the railroad tracks, speaking only as much as necessary.
