Nine voices from Gaza. Nine people who recount their lives before and during the war, in the neighborhoods whose contours they trace with chalk on the ground. By recreating their own Jabaliya, Nuseirat, or Khan Younis, each character reveals their minuscule and fragile space of humanity, corresponding to the dreams, hopes, dangers, comforts, and discomforts of a life oppressed and obstructed, yet not yet reduced to ashes, not yet completely forgotten. By telling us their stories, the protagonists try to reconnect with themselves, to no longer be ghosts. Simply to come back to life.
