"It's more than a haircut"
With his barber shop in Vollsmose, one of Denmark's largest social housing districts, Somali Qassim ensures that the men, teenagers and boys from his community can walk around in style and with their heads held high. In addition to a great (and cheap) haircut, Qassim offers his customers a listening ear and advice about life, love, relationships and education. In his colorful shop you can see people from all walks of life sitting in the barber chair. And while he secretly dreams of a different future, Qassim tries every day to make the world look a little better for his loyal customers, nine hours a day, six days a week.
