Protocol van Mijn Vader plot

In 'My father's protocol', Melliena Beckmann tells the story about her father who has a major cerebral infarction. With the help of doctor Bonte, a doctor who dares to color outside the lines, a life-saving operation is performed. Beckmann captures the consequences of this doctor's actions on camera. The question that arises after her father's stroke is: do medical protocols protect life from interventions that can make a situation worse? Or are they rules that prevent an ultimate attempt at treatment being made?
