Prade Woont Niet Meer Hier plot
At the end of 1997, Hans Prade left Suriname with his wife and settled in the Netherlands for good. Prade worked for the Surinamese government for many years, most recently as chairman of the Surinamese Court of Audit. In the latter position, conflicts with the Surinamese government ran high, because the honest Prade did not cover up corruption and misuse in its reports. After yet another conflict with the government that ignores all its reports, Prade decides to throw in the towel and leave. His daughter Esther Prade filmed the last weeks of her parents' stay in Suriname and mainly focused her camera on a man who against his will has to leave a country he loves, but in which work is made impossible for him.
