Pescatori di Corpi plot

The Alba Angela sails along the middle of the Strait of Sicily. Salvuccio, the captain, orders the crew to turn off the lights and turn off the engine. After all, a police patrol will soon be in the area, looking for illegal immigrants. The crew pulls out the nets and waits in silence in the dark. In the port of Catania, Ahmed imagines how he could leave the boat in which he has been living for five years. Towards evening he sees a freighter unloading goods that circulate freely throughout Europe. At dawn, the Alba Angela reaches the port of Catania and the place where Ahmed is located. In this Sicilian town, the illegal fishing boat with its crew and the illegal migrant struggle with poverty, side by side but in complete ignorance of each other.
