Outpost plot

With a helicopter landing we end up in the middle of a remote mining community in snowy Barentsburg on Spitsbergen. Coal mining has recently become less profitable, but the geopolitical importance of the Russian presence in the Arctic archipelago cannot be underestimated. So the miners stubbornly continue to send their mine carts back and forth. A dark look at a society that seems to have reached a terminal industrial phase and is heading towards total exhaustion.
