Otherland plot

Vogue dancer Elvin Elejandro presents herself at a Voodoo Carnival Ball. An important dance competition where he will have to prove himself to be accepted by the ballroom community. He thinks back to his childhood on Sint Maarten and the transformation he has undergone since then. The freedom he once craved seems within reach. In Otherland, two storylines are juxtaposed. The autobiographical story of Elvin Elejandro Martinez, told by himself, and the fictional cartoon of an evening at a Vogue Ball.
