Osadné plot
Small village, big ambitions: that often leads to comic scenes. This is also the case in the Slovakian hamlet of Osadné, which lies on the extreme eastern border of the EU and is on the brink of death. The original Rusyn inhabitants have had little new growth for years, cows have become extinct and the statue of Andy Warhol, whose parents came from this region, has also seen better days. Time for a rescue plan: boosting tourism. The mayor, the priest and a local journalist plan to travel to Brussels where they hope to get a foot in the door through former astronaut and now EU politician Vladimir Remek.
