Open Heart plot

Eight sick Rwandan children leave their families behind for a life-or-death journey to Sudan, where they are one of the few to undergo free open-heart surgery. The advanced Salam Center is the only hospital in all of Africa to perform heart surgery for free. dr. Emmanuel Rusingiza, one of two pediatric cardiologists in all of Rwanda, and Italian Dr. Gino Strada must fight not only for the lives of the children, but also for the financial future of the hospital.
