Only When I Dance plot

Isabela (16) and Irlan (17) are two talented youngsters in the slums of Rio de Janeiro. Against a background of poverty, violence and racism, they mastered classical ballet. Apart from their talent and their passion, they seem to have anything against breaking through in the conservative ballet world. This documentary follows Isabela and Irlan in a pivotal year of their lives. They now need to be seen by the international world in order to perhaps one day become professional dancers and thus find their way out of poverty.
