One Take Grace plot

I want to talk to you, a woman's voice says as we see her determined face in close-up. This is how 58-year-old Mothiba Grace Bapela begins her life story. Bapela is a black South African who has a hard life, like many South African women. Significantly, in the beginning of One Take Grace, we see her as a domestic worker cleaning the toilet in someone's house. Bapela was always of service to others. Rarely did she see her own children, who were raised by her mother. Lindiwe Matshikiza and her team followed Bapela in her daily life for ten years.
