O Chamado de Deus plot

'What is the role of the Church in society in the third millennium?' asks one of the Brazilian youth in O Chamado de Deus. "A religious person has the task of transforming society," adds a boy who also thinks he is the chosen one. Using interviews, the film presents the ideas of young Brazilians who have found their calling and have heard the 'call of God'. The film shows present-day Brazil, where the number of religious professions has increased by thirty percent since 1970.
