Nothing about Us without Us plot

Social and political struggles have made South Africa a well-functioning democracy on paper. For many South Africans, however, this is an unfinished project: enormous inequality, corruption and concentration of power leave many people excluded from political and economic participation. Building alternatives from the bottom up seems necessary to enforce better living conditions. This documentary tells the story of two such alternatives and portrays their quest for inclusion, participation, democracy and a better life.
