Not without My Dogs plot

The Olesen family lives in seclusion in Canada's cold north. For this reason, the lives of father Dave, mother Kirsten and their two daughters Annika and Liv are not very varied. Daily chores include fetching water, shooting snowmen target practice, and cooking dog food, as the Olesens have 37 Alaskan huskies. These belong to the family and demand a lot of attention. Eight of these dogs have a special job: helping 15-year-old Annika take part in the Itarod, a sort of junior version of the toughest sled dog race in the world.
