No Kings plot

Not too far from the throbbing highways and electric lights of Rio de Janeiro, there's a place where carving canoes and building houses with clay are still an essential part of life. It is a place where conventional authority structures fall away and the Caiçara people try to live in freedom. In 'No Kings', a tomboy, a sea captain, an independent pregnant mother and two wayward fishermen must find their place in the space between the urban and a traditional life endangered by menacing forces.
