Murders at the Burger Joint plot

The 1978 incident of four murders at Burger Chef in Speedway, Indiana, was one of the most tragic crimes in state history. The crime was unusual and, at least apparently, left no physical evidence or witnesses. This documentary is based on this incident. On November 17, 1978, four employees of the Burger Chef on Crawfordsville Road in Speedway went missing. Although police considered it a robbery, only $581 was stolen from the till. When a colleague came back to check on the four colleagues around midnight, they were all gone. All the police could find was an empty roll of tape and two empty money bags.
