Murder in Monaco plot

Documentary about the mysterious death of billionaire banker Edmond Safra. In 1999, Safra died in his secured Monaco penthouse after an alleged burglary by two masked men resulted in a raging fire; Safra and his nurse, Vivian Torrente, died of smoke inhalation in a locked bathroom. The case remains controversial because the apartment was known for its elaborate alarm systems, cameras, and heavily secured doors, raising questions about how the fire started and whether it was more than an accident.

Absolutely far from good true crime. Filmtotaal is absolutely right again; making a documentary is a craft. Neither research nor a factual account from a detective is lacking. And of course, that creates even more doubt and speculation. This documentary wasn't very well prepared, and the filmmaker didn't know anything about true crime, but he did know about sensationalism and gave a pathological liar a lot of time!
