Mu Bang plot

Lumberjacks in a mountain area in China work according to a method that has been the same for centuries. With their small strong horses and a sled they transport the heavy tree trunks through the winter landscape. Timber Gang follows a group of lumberjacks during their last winter on the mountain. The landscape is inhospitable, the paths are steep and slippery from the constantly falling snow, and the logs are unwieldy and difficult to handle.
