Moynihan plot
"The first feature length film about Daniel Patrick Moynihan."
Biographical portrait of Daniel Patrick Moynihan. He emerged as a colossus of the 20th century: public intellectual, policy specialist, ambassador and senator in New York. The film traces the spirit of Moynihan's remarkable ideas as they evolved over the course of his tumultuous life in post-war America, with its triumphs as well as its controversies. He was a poor kid who grew up on the streets during the New York Depression to eventually become a professor at Harvard. He devoted his decades-long career - serving both Democratic and Republican governments - to the fight against poverty.
