Morir de Pie plot

Disabled activist Irina Layevska is portrayed in her daily life, together with her life partner Nelyda. By means of photos and film fragments from the past, the director looks back on the youth of this woman who is now almost fifty years old. Her parents were militant communists who campaigned in the 1960s and gave their children a rigid communist upbringing. Furthermore, Irina has been struggling with a serious illness since early childhood, which forced her to use a wheelchair at a young age. She is now also blind, making her increasingly dependent on her partner Nelyda.
