Monster Road plot

Documentary that delves into the wild fantasy worlds of legendary underground clay animator Bruce Bickford. Bruce's films, and more specifically his work for Frank Zappa in the 1970s, earned him cult status worldwide. Completely self-taught, 56-year-old Bickford still works all alone in a temporary basement studio at his home near Seattle. Among other things, it looks back on his childhood in a competitive household during the paranoia of the Cold War and examines his relationship with his father George - who worked as an engineer at Boeing at the time, but is now confronted with the looming Alzheimer's disease. .
