Mondriaan in New York plot

In October 1940 the 62-year-old painter Piet Mondrian fled to New York to escape the Germans. Using archive material, the film provides a picture of his exile. Six people from Mondriaan's closest environment tell about his life and work. A picture emerges of the emergence of the radical changes in his art from this period little known in the Netherlands.
