Moadon Beit Hakvarot plot
Even before the title appears, director Tali Shemesh is told by her great-aunt Lena that she cannot call the documentary 'The Cemetery Club'. The discussion group of ancient Israelis finally gathers in the field next to the cemetery on Mount Herzl - the pantheon of Israeli heroes and dignitaries. She is stubborn and tireless; a waterfall of speech, which tolerates no contradiction. Not even from Shemesh's grandmother Minia, who is also a member of the club. Shemesh interviews Lena and Minia, about past and present, and records with a sense of drama and humor the meetings at which the old Holocaust survivors discuss poetry and politics and collectively dispel loneliness.
