April 4, 1968. Martin Luther King is shot on the balcony of a hotel in Memphis, Tennessee. The events that would lead to the murder began three months earlier, when the city's maintenance services went on strike. Because this could have been a pivotal moment in the civil rights movement, scientists at the University of Memphis gathered every written or audiovisual source around these events. Much of this material has never been viewed since. Now brought back together chronologically for the first time, it brings to life the tumultuous events surrounding one of the most shocking murders in the US like never before.
