Mijn Enschede plot
Documentary maker Astrid Bussink returns to the city where she studied at the art academy and from which she would move on May 13, 2000 - the day of the fireworks disaster. Bussink moves into an apartment overlooking the memorial and tries to come to terms with the disaster. She fills the room with photo and video footage of the disaster, starting with her own photos of the smoldering remains of her home. She speaks with victims and with the family of the eventually acquitted suspect André de Vries. She approaches conspiracy theorists and the two dogged detectives who continue the investigation on their own initiative. More and more, Bussink himself becomes entangled in the divergent theories.
