Marked plot

Nigerian-born director Nadine Ibrahim has been familiar with scarification since childhood, the deliberate deformation of human skin using a sharp object. Her aunt had markings on the face and arms, as well as other people in the area. Curious, Ibrahim set out to investigate and soon came across the origin and meaning of scarification.
