María y Yo plot

María lives with her mother May in the Canary Islands. That is about 3000 kilometers from Barcelona, where her father Miguel Gallardo lives. Sometimes María and Miguel go on holiday together to a resort in the south of Gran Canaria. It's a place where you don't often see a single father and his 14-year-old autistic daughter going on vacation. This documentary records one of these journeys, in which irony, sincerity and what it's like to live with a disability come to the fore.
